This is solid work! I really like how most of your drawings have robot and can almost tell a unique back story. I get the sense that this unwilling transformation from human to cyborg could play into the other drawings describing why they are cyborgs, or in a different case it creates this robot super hero. I really like the comic book feel you give to your drawings and this picture REALLY captures it. I like the background a lot, and the glow of the moon is nice. However, the glow emitting from the top of the robot kind of glows with the moon. I personally think that the glow from the moon reflecting off him (above the window sill) is a bit much. The white there seems a bit distracting, but maybe that's just me? Otherwise this picture is great! Solid 5/5

Akuma is without a doubt, a figure of destruction. This picture is really well done and reminds me a lot of JohnnyUtah's version of Akuma. The two pictures have a very cartoonistic approach and I like how you have captured his anger in a caricature. My favorite things about this piece are the necklace, the eyes, the slight showing of the teeth and the crease right above his nose. These elements show an eye for detail in expressing the emotion, from the color red to the snarl he has. Another thing that I like about this picture is the Japanese symbol in the background (or what I'm assuming is Japanese.) It just adds to the Street Fighter Essence of it! One thing that I don't like too much in this picture is his hair. This is just a personal preference because as well done as it is, I think it looks like Garlic. It doesn't really take away from this piece, it's just something that caught my eye. Once again, this picture is awesome and it's a great caricature of Akuma!

Hmmm, this one is interesting. I like the idea of this creature. It seems almost like a tentacle monster from a digital world trying to become a reality in the regular world. One thing that really strikes me about this piece is the name. "Tzlekshi-Chizmer Liomegdo Shlu", that is a mouthful. I tried to Google the name and find deeper meaning, but I've got nothing. Did you come up with the name? If so that's one hell of a name!

Something that I would consider changing in this picture is the mouth. Maybe make it a bit darker and have it come layering over his festive clothing? I feel like that would add to the piece and give it a more realistic look. In the end, this is an interesting piece that I find amusement in! Now is Tzlekshi-Chizmer Liomegdo Shlu a creature to be trusted, and one a final note... HOW THE FUCK DO YOU SAY HIS NAME!?

Conquestus responds:

Thanks for your review, very interesting interpretation. Yeah I came up with that name, I tried to think about a "exotic" name, something different to what we could imagine (and speak) and apart of the mainstream alien naming. So that's the result. . . And I don't know either how to say it xD

Thanks for your tipps, I for myself didn't really liked the mouth either, but It's based on a real chaotic and surreal sketch I made before and don't really tried to make it realistic. I just liked to bring that sketch into some kind of digital colored form and it came out that way. But maybe I will rework it later, since I see now that i'm not the only one who would change it.

The images you're producing in Mandelbulb are very psychedelic and that's wicked cool! I saw in other reviews that it makes peoples eyes go weird? I believe that's the point! It's almost as though the image itself is moving and is indeed an illusion itself. It's great colorful work that looks extremely realistic (Which I'm sure this is what the program is intended to do.) I feel like you could make some BEAUTIFUL desktop backgrounds for yourself, or others. This is awesome work and I saw on a previous one that you said this is art nobody will look at, but you're wrong. This is definitely something that I could imagine people getting into! Keep up with this kind of shit, it's awesome!

P.S. The color scheme in this one is awesome It reminds me of a flower from Alice in Wonderland, or something along those lines.

This is pretty badass! He looks like a cross between a berserker, and a troll/orc. What sticks out most to me in this picture is the huge sword. It looks like it could inflict massive damage to its opponent and I especially like the handle of it! The hilt looks as though a silver skull is resting upon it, while on the other end (by his knuckles) it looks great! Maybe he could punch somebody with it? I'm not sure if you referenced anything, but it looks good none the less.

I would try adding different skin tones though because the solid green looks a little bland although like you said, this was going to be used in a flash so it had to be simplified. Besides the handle being so badass, might I recommend making the lines a little bit more organized? What I mean by this is that they looked rushed and kind of sloppy, although it almost gives him a more barbaric feeling!

Overall this is a solid creation in what I'm guessing to be Flash.

This is great! I really like small crafts like this. Seeing as you made this out of paper I think it's really cool that you can make small figurines out of it. The solid black works, well, because it's symbiote Spider-Man! With that said, I also like how you took note of adding the white to the back of his palms. That was a great touch. Something that didn't come out so nice was his left eye. It looks like it is partially closing on the lower eye-lid. Overall this is a solid piece of work and I really like it!

-On a side note, the storm trooper looks great too!

Yeah man, it's the little things that make it what it is.
A bit unfortunate about the eye, but oh well.
Glad you like them both.

Wow! This one is much better than your last submission! I like the fact that the colors are inverted. It's not necessarily something that you see something everyday. I think what makes this piece work as a whole is the statue of the angels. The cloth hanging from it looks well done. The next thing that catches my eye in this piece is the background. I like the details in the background. It gives me the sense of an old world, perhaps in the renaissance? Another thing that this picture reminds me of is the old Devil May Cry games on the Playstation 2, which makes this piece kind of nostalgic for me.

Things that you could improve on are straightening your lines in the background, and giving your character in the left hand corner some more depth. It is hard to make this character out at first because it seems as though he the same height as the clock tower he is near. Overall this piece is a big improvement from the last drawing and you can tell that you put thought into this piece. 4/5, no doubt!

MaartenC responds:

Always great to hear such a praise, thank you very much!

The cloth and the wings were a bitch to do, but I believe they worked out the way I wanted them to.
The series are in the (late?) Medieval eras, so that's why the houses are so idyllic, I really like them too, though I could have given them a bit more attention, yes.

Thank you again for the review, much appreciated!

I like this piece for its simplicity. It's just a nice little cartoon. Might I recommend darkening the lines though? Another thing that I would take note of are the eyes. The left eye looks as though there should be a bit of nose blocking it, or that it should be angled differently. It makes the character's face look a little bit off. With that said it doesn't take away from the overall picture, because I understand that it's still a simple cartoon. Overall, 2.5/5! Not too shabby! :D

MaartenC responds:

I've been darkening the lines, but my best pen dried out. I've got no excuse for it, really. I'll have a better one next time ^^
Also, the original picture was like this and I did not really feel like changing it.

Thanks for the review, stay tuned for more!
